She was and is always well turned out, with excellent sense of dressing and matching accessories
More importantly, she has genuine kind words for everyone she interacts with, whatever their background.
As our family doctor since the last fifty plus years, she has treated four generations – my grandparents, parents, me and my children!
She would ask about every family member as she personally examined her patients.
And no, she did not have to depend on any medical reports, as she never sent us for any pathological tests at all.
Just her angelic presence along with her medicines seemed like a guaranteed cure for our illness.
At eighty four years, she still walks gingerly on the uneven footpath for her daily visits to the Church.
Even now, she is full of gratitude, joy and bliss which she ongoingly shares with the world.
I met her by chance on a rainy evening and she was as charismatic as ever when I reminded her that there are very few doctors with a personal touch like hers.
She said that along with a medical degree, the bedside manners that the doctor has with the patient is more important.
Yes, I wish present day doctors take lessons of this bedside manners from this role model doctor who makes everyone smile.
