She retired as a school teacher and restarted her life as a social worker.
She had worked towards ensuring perennial water supply to a village that previously had severe water problems.
She undertook renovation process in her building amidst a lot of resistance.
She still takes up the cause of the downtrodden in her locality to help them get their work done.
She boldly acknowledges the contribution of people who may even be considered enemies.
She is an inspiration to her community where it is rare to see women to get out of the house into the streets for active social causes.
Her enthusiasm in participating in cleanliness drives under the scorching sun made me smile.
