Day 242 of Indian places giving smiles – the farm tourism of Manesar
I had heard a lot about this upcoming industrial town of Manesar and I couldn’t be bothered about the many factories in the region. But what interested me was the concept of farm tourism where stressed out urbanites could get away for a few days and experience the slow paced life in the many farmhouses in Manesar.
I visited this place on official work. It was a very long drive and we got stuck at traffic jams near the toll booths and the automobile factory gates. Just as we got off the highway, I got to see the village side of Manesar with its open farmlands.
Our company guesthouse was located in the midst of well maintained landscapes and this was a delightful first time experience for me. Getting up in the morning to feel as if we are in the midst of nature was a delightful experience to a person like me who is used to the cramped up style of living in a crowded city like Mumbai. I give credit to the North Indian who generally like to do everything in style as compared to the relatively simple living of the south Indians.
Eat, Love, Pray…what else? The royal treatment that I got at the guesthouse of Manesar was a memorable experience. Maybe some time in the future I will actually stay in a real farmhouse in Manesar.
