Day 310 of personal insights giving smiles – Practice mindfulness at all times!

 

Even as you are reading this, the back of your mind may be filled with some other thoughts.  Go ahead bring your rear unconscious thoughts in front; become conscious of it; act upon it if you must…it will automatically stop bothering you.

The 24 hours of your day is filled with routine work, constructive work as well as relaxing work. Whatever be the nature of work you are doing at the moment, you pretend that mindfulness is a game that you play with yourself.  Start paying attention to everything that is going on in your body and mind. Throughout the day keep checking whether you are both physically and mentally doing the same work.

  1. When you brush your teeth, your mind fully concentrates in cleaning every corner of it, when you drive to office your mind is fully involved in the way you drive on the door, when you are reading your mail on your desk, you are fully absorbing every writing word in front of you, when a problem arises in office, you view it fully from all angles, when you talk to colleagues, you are actually being with them, etc. You will be passionate about whatever you do, you will enjoy short term contentment, you will regularly resolve your anxieties, you will start taking decisions, you will try out new ways, you may change habits.

As you learn to practice mindfulness and you will also learn a lot of things about yourself; your mental health will become better and the productivity of both you and your organisation will definitely increase!
