Day 322 of small things giving big smiles – sometimes watcher, sometimes performer
Have you ever seen artists performing with confidence in public? Have you marvelled at their ability to carry on with the show irrespective
of the reaction of audiences?
Well on one of the trips abroad, I was treated to a complete display of public talent. It was called the tam tam show where the general public gather on a sunny day to do whatever pleases their senses. In the sprawling green lawns there were people drumming, singing, dancing, trapezing; praying, chanting, doing yoga, exercising, playing sports, eating, drinking, or simply chilling around.
You can spend a good amount of time just watching the people do whatever they feel like doing. Or else you can join into the antics of this completely self expressed group.
So after some time I found myself banging on a small bongo trying to match the drumbeats of the group. Soon a complete stranger asked me to dance with him and without too much of thinking we just got up and gave a performance along with the cheers of the crowds!
The smile on everyone’s faces after this random act of spontainety was memorable to me. Isn’t this what your life is about..you can either be a watcher of other people’s performances or you can get into the act yourself!
So which small thing have you a big smile today?
Please share about your small experiences that made you smile!
