Day 348 of small things giving smiles- old time thrill of listening to the radio and the two in one
Do you remember when the bulky radio occupied a pride of place in your home? I remember listening almost throughout the day to catchy ad jingles, old hindi songs, news and even our regional kannada songs. In fact we knew the time of the day depending on which program was going on!
And then came the sleek two in one..the radio cum tape recorder. We could even carry it with us when we went for picnics For the first time in our lives we had an option of playing songs of our own choice and even recording our favourite songs from the radio!
In these days of easy availability of any kind of music, people may not appreciate how thrilling it was for us to listen to music in the few options that we had in those days!
But I can definately say that the smiles that our radio and tape recorder gave us in those days was everlasting!
