Day 406 of new travel experiences giving smiles- having a formal meeting with the ex Cuban Ambassodor of India
Have you ever travelled out of your country and become more aware of the greatness of India? It is such a pleasure to hear people around India having a great wish to visit India at least once in their lifetimes!
India has almost all the attractions like natural beauty or history to make it one of the top three tourist destinations in the world. (I share my friends vision about making this dream true).
So by day 40 of our long trip i kept talking to foreigners about how India is 100 countries in 1.. with its variety of languages, good habits, cultures, religions etc
And our tour guide Daniel also added about how he enjoyed his stay in India for 7 years and how his grandmother loves to meet Indians. She was the ex Cuban Ambassador in India.
We were so thrilled to have this formal Meeting with her and her jovial husband at our hotel’s restaurant.
She gave us a new perspective of Indians doing trade with Cubans…this was a different perspective to what we had heard the previous day at the office of the Indian embassy in Cuba. They weŕe actually surprised to see rare tourists like us who came all the way from India. Unofficially we were made to understand that it maybe risky to do business with Cubans given their precarious financial situation.
It was such a positive perspective of Cuba that was given to us by the feisty ex Ambassodor – it was my first meeting ever with an official of this ranking and I love the macro thinking aspect of it.
