Revisiting a hospital room after 2 decades.
It was a moment of nostalgia to revisit a hospital room where I stayed for weeks when my mother in law was admitted in 1998. The whole wing was at present non-operational, and only echoed the memories of me talking to the nun in the other room, or to relatives of other patients.
There were no strict rules about timings or number of guests or restrictions for bringing in food from outside. It was more like a second home, as compared to the clinically sterile and strict modern hospitals of these days.
So I had to smile thinking how these hospital rooms have also become old with the passage of time, the notion of a hospital like second home may seem strange to most people nowadays.
So in 2018, do notice these simple smiling moments.Have a smiling year!
