Becoming a finalist for TOI’s Lead India contest in 2007 with a vision to Clean India and provide employable skills.
In 2007, I had declared in writing a visionary project to Clean Ibdia, when there was nothing in the environment to make this a reality!
As a soft skills professor for MBA students, I took part in the TOI contest debate on ‘ what would a leader focus on – education or employment’….after listening for long, I changed the direction of the debate when I insisted that my focus would be on ’employable education’.
As a soft skills trainer, I believe that having strong life skills is an important pre-requisite for any kind of employment.
This passion of mine and belief in my work, was probably noticed by the jury and helped me to smile and become one of the finalists from Bangalore from among 5700+ aspirants.
So in 2018 do notice what makes you smile in your professional life. Have a smiling year!
