When a very committed and active environmentalist comes within one hour to meet your local team
At a conference I heard a very inspiring presentation about a starting a ‘Safai Bank’ in schools and colleges to collect the one time use silver coloured wrappers which are not taken by ragpickers. Mr. Rishi Agarwal who founded this brilliant concept would channelise such waste wrappers for use in the cement industry instead of them polluting the environment or being burnt in the dumpyard.
My local Mahim team were fully supportive to implement this brilliant initiative in our area and I gave Mr. Rishi a call expecting him to be very very busy.
To my surprise this really busy environmentalist who was at one meeting, actually said that he himself would come over within an hour to my place to meet our local team!
This is the kind of commitment to a cause, that really brought lots of smiles to our team. My work of introducing the initiator and the executor was done, and with grace from the Higher power we can soon start the Safai Bank in our area!
So in 2018 do notice these simple smiling moments.Have a smiling year.
