When street artists perform at home especially for your parents
There is something about traditional customs that bring back memories. As a child I would be quite in awe of street artists who were dressed up in scary garish costumes, screaming away in a language that I couldn’t quite fathom.
Over the years I had forgotten about them until I happened to be in Mangalore where the festival of Dassehra is really celebrated on a very grand scale.
And it was a pleasant surprise when two street artists suddenly came home to perform in front of my aged parents. Seeing my parents smile at this unexpected entertainment made my day.
So in 2018 do notice these simple smiling moments.Have a smiling year!
