Day 307 of personal insights giving smiles – Managing the different thoughts of your mind
Your mind is continuously reacting to all that happens in and around you.
Internal factors like your interests, talent, desires, physical well-being and external factors like your work environment, the kind of people around you, the time, the economic status etc. – all these affect the way you think.
All these factors put different kinds of pressure on you and give rise to a variety of thoughts that go in and out of your mind. Based on the effect of the pressure that you face at this stage, you may get positive or negative thoughts and beliefs. Some positive thoughts of hope, confidence, optimism, contentment, courage etc. can be empowering to you, while some negative thoughts of despair, pessimism, dissatisfaction, envy, fear etc. can make you feel disempowered. Depending on what you believe about yourself, you will take some kind of action
The beliefs of your mind are connected to the results that you produce at work.
When you have positive belief in yourself> there is a greater utilization of your capabilities>You will take more resourceful and constructive actions> so there is a better chance of getting the expected results.
However when you have negative depressing beliefs> there is a lesser utilization of your potential> you take half-hearted limiting actions> so there is more chance of getting the undesired result.
The results that you produce at work in turn affect the beliefs of your mind.
It is known that successful entrepreneurs also faced a lot of problems in their initial years but their mind treated these situations not as problems, but as opportunities for growth.
- A big dam across the flowing situation of your work life, is not a barrier but is an opportunity to convert your great potential energy (into electricity that brightens everyone’s lives).
Conversely you may seem to have all the possible advantages with men, money or materials and still you may not be able to get what you want.
Have you come across some people who seem to have all the benefits and still end up making a mess of it, while others seem to be initially at a disadvantage yet they succeed in what they set out to do?
The difference lies in the way you manage your mind to handle the situations. You have to consciously use mind management techniques to balance your behavior pattern. You need to indulge in a constant adventure within your mind. As a good manager you need to understand the importance of mind management in your organization.
