After 58 years of inception of the building, residents organize their first flag hoisting ceremony.

It is always a matter of pride to stand in attention and salute the national flag as we all sing the national anthem aloud. But what made today’s ceremony even more special was that in the 58 year old history of our building, the residents had never got together for any community patriotic event.

And the credit for the enthusiasm goes straightaway to the children. They went door to door collecting contribution for the event, they rehearsed their speeches, they tried out different costumes to dress up as national leaders, etc. Their parents too provided the much needed support to make this a memorable event.

Out security people, our garbage cleaner, our committee members, our food and drink sponsors, our senior citizens, our audiences, everyone else also was acknowledged with a passionate spirit that makes community living an experience by itself.

The smiles that were present added to the sense of achievement of an event being organized for the first ever in the building
