Day 373 of trivial things during travel that can give you smiles – appreciating the art and creativity within a city

Have you noticed certain bursts of colour or an unusual sculpture in the middle of a regular urban street? Do you just walk by or will you stop and stare and appreciate the creativity displayed there?

Montreal is a very artsy city..it is a pleasure to walk downtown and see consistent art installations at every nook and corner.

Fountains also seem to be dancing at their own whim and fancy. Statues seem to give their blessings above the tree tops.

And it is up to us to make a meaning or not for the unique artwork displayed prominently at public places.

So it was with a bit of craziness that we decided to pay attention to the artistic pieces installed on the roads. It started with us trying to imitate a yoga pose…followed by many poses with the public sculptures and it ended with us taking a ride on the public swings. And we felt like kids again as our special swings created melodious music around us.

The walk around the art installations at downtown brought a smile to our faces.
